Koen Dewilde

Throughout my career as a seasoned VAT advisor, I have focused on developing a state-of-the-art VAT practice, with a culturally aware and global perspective.

I started as a junior advisor at Arthur Andersen, where I developed the VAT practice in the Gent office. Following a merger with Deloitte, I moved to Central Europe, where I contributed to building the tax practices for the firm’s local units after EU accession. My time in Bratislava and Budapest exposed me to significant incoming investment projects and enhanced my understanding of the cultural and business environments in the region.

After returning to Belgium, I co-founded Vatsquare and was involved in several startup projects, continuing to innovate in VAT consultancy.

Additional Information:

I hold a degree in applied economics and a master’s in international affairs from the Catholic University of Louvain. I have been a member of the Belgian Chamber of Tax Advisors, author of "Btw en Openbare Besturen," and have been ranked as a highly rewarded VAT consultant by ITR.
